General Contractor

The General Contractor (GC) is hired to hold overall responsibility for a construction project.  Subcontractors work under the direct control of the GC, who makes up the schedules, coordinates the tasks, and supervises the activities of all contractors and suppliers under contract. The GC may self perform some portion of the construction project should the opporunity arise.  The GC, instead of the owner, will develop the following aspects of the project:

• Maximum Project Price
• GC Responsible for all Contracts with Subcontractors and Suppliers
• GC Schedules and Fulfills all Invoice Reviews and Payments
